Do companies hire people (who need a one way rental car) to transport a car for them? - car transport companies
I take a trip with friends in California. We wanted to get a car in one direction and then return home. A friend told me at work, came a few years ago contact with a transport company car, which "effectively terminated" him, I guess you could free the vehicle. He signed the paper, filled with petrol and was told where to go. So basically, not a service and must use the car as a car "free" in a way that he used for his journey through the country. Has someone this ????????? heard

Yes, but I do not know who is actually doing. Gehen 1 way car rental companies have cars all the time (more than U-Haul type).
I've even placing ads on your car are heard and paid for it.
I heard from a man who has retired and a Ford dealer, but her career has been more than my 100-200.
If you are planning a trip across the country, the landlord may want to put all the miles on the car, plus you do not know which driver you are, and can ruin your car.
You could in a local newspaper, advertise, or ask the auto dealers may be able to contact a private party and they could work. They do not know until you try.
